滑り台 (すべりだい/Playground Slide)

私の　けんちくがく(architecture)の　クラスに　つぎの　プロジェクトが　かっこいいです。

ニューヨークの　ハイライン(Highline)は　こうえんですが、これは めずらしくて(unusual)　とかいてき(urban)　こうえんです。みちの　上に　あります。

こうえんを　さんぽすることが　できます。そして　本を　もらったら、読むことができます。でも　ほかの　アクティビティが　少いですから、わたしが　あそびば(playground)の

デザインを　作りたいです。 ローラーすべりだいが　いりたいです。

むかし、わかいときに、大くて　長い　すべりだい(Playground Slide)で　すべりました。ローラーすべりだいでした。今日、ばしょうが　おぼえました。おきなわに　長い　ローラーすべりたいが　あります。とても　たのしいですよ。行ってください！

 

ひなまつり

ひなまつりは　三月三日でしたが、今　写真が　あります。今日　ははは　この　写真を　おくりました。

これは　ははが　作ったの　です。きれいですね。

これは　わたしたちの　おひなさまです。

 この　写真を　見て、さびしいに　なりました。うちへ　行きたかったです。ははは　もちを　作りました。もちが　大好きです！　五月に　帰りて、食べます。

おべんとう びじゅつ

見て　ください。かわいと　おもいます。この　すてきな　おべんとうを　作りたいです。

地震 Earthquake

Thankfully, 私の　かぞくは　だいじょうぶです。しんぱいしています。日本で　じしん は　かいめつてき (devastating).  I cannot believe what has happened.

20,000 ぐらい 死傷者 (ししょーしゃ／casualties)が　みつかったですが、みつかなかったひとが　多いです。食べ物と　水と　くすりと　ヒート(heat)が すくないです。 よるのとき、氷点下になります(below freezing)。 じしん　もっと　来ます。人は　ねることが　できませんです。

きょうふ (fear)が　あるからです。 To make matters worse, ほうしゃせん (radiation)が　あります。

人は　ビルで　まちます。ドアと　まどを　しめています。

うちに　かえるとき、ふく(服／clothes)を　ぬがなければ　なりませんです。それから　シャワーを　あびなければ　なりませんです。外に　出なければ　なりませんとき、長そで　(long sleeves) マスクと　ゴーグルを　かけなければ　なりません。

 日本を お大事にしてください。

 Stunning crop art has sprung up across rice  fields in Japan , bu t this is no alien creation.   The designs have been cleverly  PLANTED!  Farmers creating the huge displays use no ink  or dye.  Instead, different colour rice plants have been precisely and strategically arranged and grown in the paddy fields. 
As summer progresses and the plants shoot up, the detailed artwork begins to  emerge.   
  
 A Sengoku warrior on  horseback  has been created from hundreds of thousands of  rice plants.  The colours are created by using different varieties of rice plants, whose leaves grow in certain colours.  This photo was taken in Inakadate , Japan  .   
 Napoleon on horseback can be seen from the  skies.   This was created by precision planting and months of planning by villagers and farmers located in Inkadate , Japan  .   
 Fictional warrior Naoe Kanetsugu and his wife,  Osen,  whose lives are featured on the television  series 'Tenchijin'  appear in fields in the town of  Yonezawa in the Yamagata prefecture of Japan  .   

This year, various artwork has popped up in other rice-farming   areas of Japan , including designs of deer  dancers.  Smaller works of 'crop-art' can be seen in other  rice-farming areas of Japan such as this image of Doraemon and deer dancers  

The farmers create the  murals  by planting little purple and yellow-leafed  Kodaimai rice along with their local green-leafed Tsugaru, a Roman variety, to create the coloured patterns in the time between planting and harvesting in  September. 
The murals in Inakadate cover 15,000 square  meters of paddy fields.   

From ground level, the designs are invisible, and viewers have to climb the mock castle tower of the village office to get a glimpse of the  work.     Closer to the image, the careful placement of the thousands  of rice plants in the paddy fields can be seen.  Rice-paddy art was started there in 1993 as a local revitalization project, an idea that grew from meetings of the village  committees.  The different varieties of rice plants grow alongside each other to create the  masterpieces.  In the first nine years, the village office workers and local farmers  grew a simple design of Mount Iwaki every year.  But their idea s grew more complicated and attracted more attention.  In 2005, agreements between landowners  allowed the creation of enormous rice paddy art.  A year later,
Organizers used computers  to precisely plot the planting of four  differently coloured rice varieties that bring the images to  life!  TRULY A WORK OF ART!!

さあ、何を書きますか。。。

今せいかつは　いそがしいです。　今週　じかんが　あまり　ありません。週末に　プリンストン　(Princeton) 大学へ　行きました　から。

 私の　友達が　見に行きました。そした　新しい　友達に　はじめて　あいました。一つ　男の子は　とても たさいです。 (talented) おんがくの　さっきょくかです。(He's a music composer.) たくさん せりあいを　(competitions) かちました。ボストンバレエに

きがくきょくを　つくりました。

（He also composed a piece for Boston Ballet Company.）  おんがくは　きんだいおんがくです。(contemporary classical) まだ　十九さいです。
今学生じゃありませんが、来年　ハーバード大学に　はいります。　今　おんがくを　書いて、教えています。この　男の子に　あいました、うれしかった。
